Our laboratory provides services to different type of energy meter namely Electromechanical Meter, Electronic Meter and Smart Meter which is in accordance to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Standards.  Our laboratory is highly recognised by the regulatory body and the customers to provide the following testing requirements:

a) Calibration of Energy Meter – Ensuring the meter not only provides accurate readings but also quantifies any uncertainty in measurement.

b) Accuracy Test (Communication test) for Pattern Approval – A requirement by the National Metrology Institute of Malaysia (NMIM) before the meter is allowed to be use in electricity billing.

c) Consignment Batch Certification Testing – A SIRIM QAS requirement who appointed by Suruhanjaya Tenaga for imported meters to be use in electricity billing in Malaysia in lieu of Product Certification.

d) Batch Testing for new project owned by Independent Power Distributor (IPD) – A requirement by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga for authorize electricity billing

e) Product Inspection Testing (Smart Meters) – A requirement by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for all smart meters to be installed in Malaysia.

f) Accuracy Verification Test – A testing requirement by TNB specifically for suspected tampered meter.
